Anonymised summary of Refero’s assignments. No clients can be identified. Past outcomes are not a forecast.

Sometimes a lot. Sometimes a little.

The outcome ranges from under SEK 100,000 to SEK 187 million in a single analysis. Most fall between a few hundred thousand and a couple of million SEK.

Finding little is also a result. It means that systems, routines and knowledge are working. Whatever the outcome, you know where you stand.

Largest single project so far: SEK 187 million recovered. As an example from a private company: over SEK 15 million. These are peaks, not typical cases.

How we calculated

The basis is analyses with a compiled outcome, completed and ongoing, in the public and private sectors. Analyses without a recorded amount are not included.

Each class is based on at least 12 analyses at 9 or more different clients. The shares are rounded to whole percentages. The median means that half of the analyses are below it and half above.

Compiled 3 November 2026.

Over time it goes both ways.

For returning clients, the amount has fallen more often than it has risen. But for 41% it has risen.

New systems, suppliers, rules and staff all have an effect. This cannot be known in advance. A review shows where you stand today.

How we calculated

We compare the recovered amount for the oldest and the latest reviewed year at each client. The comparison includes clients with at least 3 reviewed years and at least 3 years between the first and the latest year.

Each part is based on at least 6 clients. We draw no conclusion about the cause in any individual case. The comparison says nothing about what a new analysis will show.

The placement of private companies is illustrative. The markers roughly follow how the companies are distributed across the counties, not where individual clients are located.

Map of Sweden. 172 municipalities, 9 regions and over 150 private companies that have been clients of Refero are marked. The private companies are spread across the counties roughly in proportion to the number of companies in each county. The placement is illustrative: head offices have not been mapped.

How it looks across client groups.

Larger organisations have larger flows, and therefore usually larger amounts. Each group includes many clients. No individual client is shown.

A municipality has returned for 22 separate assignments. One of our longest client relationships, with a public sector organisation, spans two decades.

How to read the cards

Typical assignment shows the median number of invoices reviewed and discrepancies in the group. The share is the discrepancies divided by the invoices. The dot field shows the same share as dots out of 1,000 invoices.

The light band shows where the middle half of the assignments fall. The ring shows the median recovered amount. The scale is logarithmic, from SEK 100,000 to SEK 10,000,000, and is the same on every card. The letter k means thousand SEK.

Repeat clients is the share of clients who have used Refero more than once. Typical relationship is the median length of time the returning clients have used us, rounded to a range. Size refers to the number of inhabitants. The regions are included in the largest group. Each group includes at least 35 clients. All figures are rounded.
